Reading the route
The Prague Marathon starts at 8:00 from Staroměstské náměstí, the Old Town Square, where Pařížská begins. The route crosses Čechův most, passes Malostranské náměstí, then Karlův most at km 2.6. It then follows the Vltava embankments to Libeňský most at km 7.7, before Těšnovský tunel. It crosses Staroměstské náměstí a first time, then continues toward Prašná brána.
At Prašná brána, at km 13.5, the route reaches Na Příkopě then Národní. It crosses Jiráskův most before Palackého most, at km 16.5, then Vyšehradský tunel. The course turns back at Podolské nábřeží at km 22.6, then again at Strakonická at km 28.3: these are the loop's two out-and-back sections.
The return passes most Legií, then meets Mánesův most and Libeňský most again. Těšnovský tunel follows, taken a second time. The course reaches Pařížská before the finish, after 42.195 km, at Staroměstské náměstí, the same place as the start. Split times apply at every kilometre throughout the race.
