Reading the route
The Buenos Aires Marathon starts on Avenida Figueroa Alcorta, at the corner of Avenida Dorrego, at 7:00. The route passes River Plate at km 3.8, then follows Avenida del Libertador and Avenida General Paz. It reaches the Planetario at km 13.7, before joining Avenida 9 de Julio and the Obelisco at km 19.5. The Planetario is passed again later on the route.
After the Obelisco, the route follows Avenida Corrientes. It reaches Plaza de Mayo, then Casa Rosada, at km 25. The course continues along Avenida de Mayo and Paseo Colón. It passes Boca Juniors at km 28.3. Aid stations, including fruit, come every 2.5 km from km 5 to km 40, then at the finish.
The route then passes the Fuente Las Nereidas, at km 31.5, then Puerto Madero. It reaches the Museo de los Inmigrantes at km 36.1, then follows Avenida Costanera to the finish. The finish is on Avenida Figueroa Alcorta, after 42.195 km. You have 6 hours to reach the finish, until 13:00.
