Reading the route
The race starts at Cape Town Stadium, in Green Point, and returns there: it is a 42.195 km loop. At km 7, it passes the corner of Searle Street and Victoria Road. It reaches Mowbray at km 11, at the junction of Main Road and Rhodes Avenue, then the University of Cape Town at km 11.5.
The course reaches Claremont at km 14, at the corner of Claremont Boulevard and Hemlock Boulevard. At km 20, it passes through Rondebosch, at the junction of Milner Road and Park Road. It then crosses Rondebosch Common at km 22.4. At km 25.5, it is back in Mowbray, on Liesbeek Parkway at Link Road.
The route then passes the Old Biscuit Mill at km 27.9 and the Castle of Good Hope at km 30.8. At km 32.6, it reaches the corner of Long Street and Wale Street. The final kilometers run through Sea Point: Main Road at km 36, then Queens Road Circle at km 38.7. The finish is on Vlei Road, in Green Point.
