Powered by StravaCompatible with Strava

Plotrek uses the Strava API to fetch your GPS activities and turn them into personalized works of art.

Independence

Plotrek is an independent service and is not affiliated with Strava, Inc., nor specifically endorsed, sponsored or approved by it. Strava® is a registered trademark owned by Strava, Inc.

Plotrek uses the public Strava API in accordance with the Strava Brand Guidelines and the API terms of use.

Data we retrieve

When you connect your Strava account to Plotrek, we retrieve only:

We never retrieve your detailed personal statistics, your connections (followers/following), your segments, or any activity you have not explicitly selected.

OAuth scopes used

The Strava connection requests two minimal scopes:

We request no write scope (activity:write), nor access to private activities (activity:read_all) without an explicit request.

Revocation and data deletion

From Plotrek — you can sign out and revoke Plotrek's authorization directly from our site: use the Sign out of Strava button on the /account page. This action calls the Strava /oauth/deauthorize endpoint and immediately clears your local session.

From Strava — you can also revoke it manually:

strava.com/settings/apps → find “Plotrek” → click “Revoke access”.

Revocation removes our ability to access your future activities and immediately invalidates our access token. The only Strava data we keep beyond the 6-hour session is what is attached to a paid order (finisher first/last name, polyline and elevations of the chosen activity) — kept for 5 years for accounting legal obligations. To erase this personal data on a past order (anonymization), write to hello@plotrek.com — we respond within 30 days in accordance with the GDPR.
