Behind Plotrek

Designed by code.
Drawn with a pen.

Plotrek turns a place, a route or a memory into a composition drawn with a pen. You frame the view live; every piece is then prepared, drawn and checked in our workshop near Bordeaux.

From terrain to line

Every poster starts with a real place.

Two years of development went into bringing geographic data, 3D rendering and graphic composition together in one simple tool.

  1. 01

    The data

Terrain, coordinates and, if you choose, your GPX route become the raw material.

  2. 02

    The composition

The engine turns that data into contour lines. You adjust the framing, view, style and colours in the live preview.

  3. 03

    The drawing

A precision plotter guides a real pen across the paper, line by line. This is not a digital print.

What you see in the Studio becomes the basis of the piece you receive.

A physical piece

Not a digital print.

Every poster is made to order. The real pen line reveals the detail of the terrain and the texture of the paper.

Fine-art paper

Mass-coloured fine-art papers, from 160 to 250 gsm depending on the colour, selected for their feel and stability.

Pigment inks

Archival-quality pigment inks selected for line precision and resistance to light and UV exposure.

Checking and shipping

Every poster is checked, then protected in transport-ready packaging with no fragile frame.
