Reading the route
Eiger E250 loops out from Grindelwald around the Jungfrau and Aletsch massif, a UNESCO World Heritage site — a high-mountain course, through glaciers and passes. It sets off at 8 am, finishing back at the same point.
The trail passes Stechelberg, then climbs through alpine pasture up to Hohtürli, at 2,745 m — the highest point of the race.
From Kandersteg, the trail climbs back up to the Lötschepass, then drops down toward Jeizinen and Finnen.
It crosses the Fieschergletscher, passes Goms, crosses the Grimsel pass, then reaches Guttannen before closing the loop at Grindelwald. The cutoff falls 95 hours after the start.
