Reading the route
One very long, unbroken climb defines this overnight loop, up to the Cabane d'Orny, a Swiss Alpine Club hut perched above the Val de Bagnes.
22:00, in Verbier: the starting horn sounds for the overnight loop. The route first climbs to Savoleyres, then drops to Sembrancher, before taking on the long climb that leads to the Cabane d'Orny.
Past the hut, it drops to La Fouly, crosses the Pas des Chevaux, then passes Bourg-Saint-Pierre, near the Great St Bernard Pass.
The route climbs one last time to the Cabane de Mille, then drops through Lourtier to the finish, back in Verbier. 42 hours, no more, to close this long crossing of the Val de Bagnes.

The route, drawn with a pen
The relief of the course, a loop from Verbier, takes shape as contour lines: our pen plotter draws it with a pen, line by line. Your finisher name and time go in the cartouche, in A4, A3 or A2.
