Reading the route
48 hours are allowed to close the Catalan Pyrenees, between old mining sites and high-altitude lake cirques. The start falls at 4 pm, in Vielha.
The route crosses the Pas de l'Escalette, drops to Bossòst, then climbs through old mining sites and lake cirques to the Coret dera Ansa dera Caudèra, then to Pòrt d'Urets, at 2,561 m.
It then drops to Salardú, crosses the Coret de Clòto before Arties, on valley and ridge trails typical of the Val d'Aran.
The finish is back in Vielha. Beyond 48 hours, it's over.
