Serra de Tramuntana (SDT) crosses the UNESCO World Heritage mountain range, between two points on Mallorca's coast. The start, at Cala Estellencs, is at night, at 10 pm.

The trail passes Valldemossa, on paved paths and dry-stone walls, through holm oak forest.

It then crosses Orient and Alaró, passes the Tossals Verds refuge and Coll de sa Línia, before climbing from Lluc up to the highest point of the route, Coll des Prat, at 1,201 m.

It then drops toward Cúber, before reaching Port de Sóller, on the coast. Runners get thirty and a half hours to reach the finish.
