Reading the route
Andorra's highest peak is Pic de Comapedrosa, and this loop reaches it before the race is a quarter done, then settles into a long circuit of mountain huts.
The start is set for 6 am in Ordino, in the heart of the valley. The route climbs almost immediately to the summit of Comapedrosa, the highest point in both the country and the race, then crosses the Coll de la Botella onto the eastern side of the range.
From there it strings together refuges: Fontverd, then the Illa hut, before passing near Pic de Maià. The terrain mixes mountain trail, high-altitude lakes and scree, among Pyrenean peaks in every direction.
The final stretch drops past the Sorteny refuge before returning to Ordino, where the loop closes. Runners get 34 hours, no more, to close the loop.
