Tor des Géants is a loop of over 330 km around the Aosta Valley, through the Grand Paradiso park and the Mont Avic park. The start, in Courmayeur, runs in two waves, at 10 am and noon.
The trail first passes Valgrisenche, then climbs to Col du Lauson, at 3,261 m — the highest point of the whole loop.
It then crosses Fenêtre de Champorcher, drops down to Donnas, in the valley, before climbing back up toward Valtournenche.
The trail still passes Oyace and Saint-Rhémy before closing the loop at Courmayeur. Runners get a hundred and fifty hours to complete this full tour.

The organiser announces 330 km and 24,000 m of elevation gain for the 2026 edition. Plotrek's illustrative route, redrawn on OpenStreetMap paths, measures 336.6 km and 24,250 m of gain. It is a loop, with Courmayeur as start and finish, Donnas at km 150.1 and Valtournenche at km 236.9.
150 hours for the 2026 edition, according to the organiser's website, read on 17 September 2026. That is the time allowed to cover the announced 330 km. On Plotrek's illustrative route, the course measures 336.6 km. The time limit can change from one edition to the next; the organiser's rules prevail.
Col du Lauson, at 3,261 m, at km 91.4 of Plotrek's route. The high point lies between two landmarks of the course: Valgrisenche (1,675 m, km 48.7) and Fenêtre de Champorcher (2,806 m, km 121.4). The start and finish are both at 1,225 m. Altitudes measured on the route, with a terrain model.
