Reading the route
The start is in Motala, released in waves from Friday at 19:30 until around 6:30 on Saturday. The road stays paved for the full 315 km loop, with 2,001 m of total climbing, around Lake Vättern. It passes through Vadstena before reaching Ödeshög, at km 48, 148 m, then Gränna, at km 75, 119 m.
The route continues through Huskvarna and Jönköping, at km 109.4, 91 m, where a cutoff applies at 11:30 on Saturday. It then crosses Fagerhult before Hjo, at km 175.9, 94 m, where a second cutoff is set at 16:00. Nine full aid stations mark the course, plus a water point at Rödån.
The course continues through Karlsborg, at km 208.4, 90 m, then Askersund, at km 262.6, 104 m. It crosses Åmmeberg and Zinkgruvan before Godegård, at km 290.7, 139 m. The route then reaches Nykyrka, then Motala: the finish, after 315 km, sits at 128 m and must be crossed before midnight. Across the full loop, there are 15 right-hand bends and 6 left-hand bends.
