Reading the route
7:30 am: that's when the start goes off, at the Glentress Peel Visitor Centre, near Peebles, for a loop through the Tweed Valley Forest Park.
The route passes Traquair Village Hall, before climbing to the course's highest elevation, at 519 m, then near the Three Brethren, a triple cairn typical of the Borders.
It then crosses the village of Walkerburn, then Cardrona, on multi-use tracks and small roads, through the moors and hills of Minch Moor.
The finish is back at the Glentress Peel Visitor Centre. Runners are allowed 11 hours.
