The start line sits in Los Cristianos, on the island's south coast, crossed at 11 pm, for an overnight crossing to Spain's highest peak.
The route climbs toward Vilaflor, through pine forest, before reaching the summit of Teide, at 3,561 m, inside the national park of the same name, across volcanic cones and lava fields.
It then drops through Portillo Alto, then crosses the laurisilva forest before Tigaiga, on ground that shifts from high-altitude desert to dense vegetation within a few kilometers.
The finish is in Puerto de la Cruz, on the north coast. The limit sits at 27 hours.

The organiser announces 110 km and 6,250 m of elevation gain for the 2025 edition. Plotrek's illustrative route, redrawn on OpenStreetMap paths, measures 105.8 km and 5,764 m of gain. Start: Los Cristianos; finish: Puerto de la Cruz; on the way, Félix Méndez at km 50.6.
27 hours for the 2025 edition, according to the organiser's website, read on 17 September 2026. That is the time allowed to cover the announced 110 km. Start: Los Cristianos, at 11 pm. The time limit can change from one edition to the next; the organiser's rules prevail.
The highest point of Plotrek's route is at 3,561 m, at km 59.5. The high point lies between two landmarks of the course: Félix Méndez (2,145 m, km 50.6) and Portillo Alto (2,091 m, km 71.3). The start and finish are both at 6 m.
