Reading the route
The Milan Marathon starts on Corso Sempione, with the Arco della Pace as a backdrop, at 8:15. A 6:30 time limit applies. The course runs point to point, between Corso Sempione and Piazza del Duomo. It passes Cimitero Monumentale at km 2.6, then Piazza della Repubblica. It reaches Porta Venezia at km 6.4.
The route continues through Corso Venezia, then on to Porta Romana. It passes Darsena at km 10.8. It reaches Piazza Buonarroti at km 14. The course crosses City Life before reaching Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, at km 22.8. It continues to Piazzale Accursio, at km 33.2.
The course then passes Monte Stella, followed by Parco del Portello. It then reaches Castello Sforzesco at km 38.4, then Arena Civica and San Babila. The finish sits on Piazza del Duomo, reached after 42.195 km. The course includes 10 aid stations over its length.
