Reading the route
The start is on quai Romain-Rolland, in front of the Palais de Justice, in the old town of Lyon. The route follows the Saône quays toward Vaise, then reaches Île Barbe. It crosses the pont Paul-Bocuse at km 8.4 and passes quai Clemenceau, in Caluire. The course then runs through Les Subs before reaching place des Terreaux, at km 16.2.
After the pont Morand, the route reaches the parc de la Tête d'Or at km 19.7. It continues to the Cité Internationale at km 24, then follows the banks of the Rhône, at km 28.2. The course carries on to the stade de Gerland, reached at km 34.6.
The route crosses the pont Raymond-Barre before passing the musée des Confluences, at km 37.7. It then goes along quai Rambaud to place Bellecour. The finish is on the west side of the square, after 42.195 km, to be covered within 5 hours 30 minutes.
