Reading the route
The Berlin Half Marathon starts on Straße des 17. Juni. The start line sits between the Brandenburg Gate and Siegessäule, at 10:05, in waves. The course passes Ernst-Reuter-Platz then Otto-Suhr-Allee before reaching Schloss Charlottenburg at km 4.4. From there, the route continues past Schloßstraße and Sophie-Charlotte-Platz.
After km 7.6 at Kurfürstendamm, the course passes the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche at km 9.1. The route continues through Tauentzienstraße, Wittenbergplatz and Nollendorfplatz. It then passes Potsdamer Straße before reaching Potsdamer Platz, at km 12.8. The course crosses Leipziger Straße and Konzerthaus Berlin to reach Berliner Schloss, at km 15.1.
The course reaches Karl-Marx-Allee at km 17.1, with a turnaround toward Strausberger Platz, then the route passes Rotes Rathaus at km 18.8. It continues past Berliner Dom and Unter den Linden. The finish is at Brandenburg Gate, on Straße des 17. Juni, after 21.1 km. The cutoff time is 3:15.
