Corsica's highest mountain pass, the Bocca Crucetta, caps this overnight loop, deep in the island's wild mountains.
23:00, on the Cours Paoli, in Corte: the overnight loop gets underway. The route first crosses the Bocca a Canaghia, on steep, rocky mountain terrain.
It passes Lake Calacuccia, then climbs up to the Bocca Crucetta — the route's longest climb leads straight up to it.
The route then drops through the Bocca di Foggialle, passes Castel de Vergio, then crosses the Bocca a Soglia before the finish back in Corte. 48 hours before the loop closes, the return to Corte included.

The organiser announces 110 km and 7,200 m of elevation gain for the 2026 edition. Plotrek's illustrative route, redrawn on OpenStreetMap paths, measures 108.6 km and 6,745 m of gain. It is a loop, with Corte as start and finish, Bocca di Foggialle at km 51.4 and Bocca a Soglia at km 81.9.
48 hours for the 2026 edition, according to the organiser's website, read on 17 September 2026. That is the time allowed to cover the announced 110 km. Start: Corte, at 11 pm. The time limit can change from one edition to the next; the organiser's rules prevail.
Bocca Crucetta, at 2,425 m, at km 43.3 of Plotrek's route. The high point lies between two landmarks of the course: Calacuccia (850 m, km 32.3) and Bocca di Foggialle (1,958 m, km 51.4). The start and finish are both at 433 m. Altitudes measured on the route, with a terrain model.
1,637 m of elevation gain in one go, from km 30.4 to km 43.3 of Plotrek's route. Landmarks on the way: Calacuccia (850 m, km 32.3), then Bocca Crucetta (2,425 m, km 43.3). No other climb on the 108.6 km loop is as long. Average gradient of this section: 12.7%.
