Reading the route
The start is at 3:00 at the Boulodrome couvert du Bas Bugey in Belley, at an altitude of 284 m. The route crosses the Col du Sansonnet at km 7.2, at 367 m, and goes through Conzieu at km 10.9. It then climbs to Innimond at km 24.6, at 880 m, and passes Ordonnaz at km 31.8, at 845 m.
Contrevoz follows at km 42.3, at 365 m. Prémillieu comes next at km 54.1, at 895 m, then Hauteville-Lompnes at km 68.8, at 800 m. The longest climb of the course gains 649 m: it starts at km 76.9, passes through Songieu and ends at the Col de la Biche, at km 89.1.
The high point, 1,499 m, is at km 95.6, at the Col du Grand Colombier. The finish is at the Zone de loisirs en Verbaou in Culoz-Béon, at km 109.1. The course totals 3,459 m of climbing and 3,506 m of descent, within a 26-hour cut-off.
