Reading the route
The race climbs from the very first meters straight to the summit of Whistler Mountain, its highest point, before a very long return to the valley.
5 am, at Creekside Plaza, at Whistler Blackcomb: the climb starts with the gun. The route takes on the climb to that summit right away, with no letup before the top.
It then drops to Rendezvous, then to Whistler Village, on river trails and conifer forest.
The route passes near Whistler Mountain again before reaching the finish, at Spruce Grove Park. 24 hours for this route that loops back past the mountain.
