Reading the route

The Trilho dos Pescadores starts in Porto Covo, in the Alentejo, at 26 m above sea level, and runs along the coast from one fishing village to the next. It belongs to the Rota Vicentina network and covers 74.6 km with 1,257 m of climbing.

The crossing goes through Vila Nova de Milfontes at km 19.3, then Almograve at km 34.5. It reaches Zambujeira do Mar at km 56.2 before the last stretch to Odeceixe. The path runs through the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina.

The high point of the route is 78 m, at km 40.8: you stay close to the sea the whole way. The longest climb gains 79 m, from km 21.2 to km 40.8. The path ends in Odeceixe, at 12 m above sea level, at km 74.6, after the villages of the coast.
