Reading the route
On the French Riviera, this marathon links Nice to Cannes along a single line, never doubling back to its start. It hugs the sea for nearly the whole route, between beaches and marinas.
The start goes off at 8 am on Nice's seafront, the Promenade des Anglais. The route follows the shoreline to Saint-Laurent-du-Var, then Cagnes-sur-Mer, passing the Hippodrome and the Parc des Maurettes on the approach to Villeneuve-Loubet.
It then crosses Antibes, then Vallauris Golfe-Juan, along the coast road linking the seaside towns of the Alpes-Maritimes, before reaching the Cannes coastline.
The finish is in front of the Palais des Festivals, in Cannes, on the seafront Boulevard de la Croisette, inside the 6-hour cut-off. The route follows the bay for its final kilometres, to the finish line.
