Reading the route
The start is at Grand Parade, in Cape Town: first groups at 6:15, waves running until 10:15. The route passes Nelson Mandela Boulevard and Hospital Bend. It climbs toward Edinburgh Drive, on Wynberg Hill, at km 10.3 (74 m). Past the M3 highway, it reaches Muizenberg at km 25.8 (9 m).
The road continues through St James, Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek. It then passes Glencairn, then reaches Simon's Town at km 37.9 (9 m). It passes Miller's Point and Smitswinkel. It crosses Scarborough, then Misty Cliffs, at km 63.4 (23 m). It then passes Ocean View and Noordhoek.
After Noordhoek, the route tackles Chapman's Peak, up to km 85.4 (95 m). It descends to Hout Bay before climbing back up Suikerbossie, up to km 92.9 (163 m). It passes Llandudno, then Camps Bay, at km 101.6 (16 m). It crosses Clifton and Sea Point. The finish is at Green Point, on Helen Suzman Boulevard, after 109 km. The stated elevation gain is 1,200 m.
