Reading the route
The Vasaloppet starts at Berga by, in Sälen, at 8:00, covering 90 kilometers in classic style to Mora. The track climbs from the start and reaches its high point at 570 m, at km 3.6. It then descends toward Smågan, at 514 m at km 11, where the only refreshment offered is water and a drink.
Past Smågan, the route passes through Mångsbodarna, at km 24.3, at 460 m, and then through Risberg, at km 33.9, at 453 m. Evertsberg follows at km 47.8, at 452 m; at each of these points, you find water, blueberry soup, broth, coffee and buns.
The descent begins next, after Evertsberg: Oxberg, at km 62.2, drops to 269 m. Hökberg, at km 71.6, rises to 283 m, then Eldris, at km 81.8, falls back to 239 m. The track continues to Mora, at km 90, at 198 m, under the finish arch.
