Reading the route

The Houston Marathon runs point to point, in Texas, in the United States. You start on Congress Avenue, at the corner of Fannin Street, in downtown Houston, at 6:55. Water and energy drink stations begin at mile 2 and repeat every 1.5 miles. The course then follows Washington Avenue before reaching River Oaks at km 7.4 and Upper Kirby at km 10.

You then reach Rice University at km 14.1. From there, the route continues toward West University, which you reach at km 18, before crossing Post Oak Boulevard. Mile markers stand at every mile along the entire course, and you reach The Galleria at km 23.6.

You then reach Memorial Park at km 33.6, followed by Allen Parkway at km 38.6, the final two waypoints on the course before Lamar Street. The finish comes after 42.195 km, at the corner of Crawford Street, near Discovery Green. You have 6 hours to reach it.
