Reading the route
The course starts in Aurillac, at 595 m of altitude, and reaches Le Lioran after 169 km. Marcolès (km 13.8) and Le Garric (km 21.8) come before Lacapelle-del-Fraisse. You pass Lacapelle-del-Fraisse at km 24.1, at 800 m, then Lachaux at km 44.8, at 813 m. Cassagne follows at km 67.7, at 874 m.
After Cassagne comes the longest climb of the course: 552 m of gain between km 87.8 and km 100.4. It ends about 6 km short of the Prat de Bouc pass, which you cross at km 106.1, at 1,387 m. The high point sits at km 137.6, at 1,578 m: you pass near the Pas de Peyrol.
You then pass the Col de Pertus at km 154.2, at 1,305 m, followed by the Font de Cère pass at km 166.2, before the finish. Le Lioran closes the course at km 169, at 1,201 m of altitude. In total, the course adds up to 4,281 m of climbing and 3,676 m of descent.
