Latin America

From Patagonia to the Amazon, Latin America offers trails of rare diversity: southern glaciers, dense jungle, Andean summits above 6,000 metres. Here ultra-trail running still meets barely mapped territory, where logistics count almost as much as athletic performance, and where support remains, in places, an exercise in improvisation.

The Ultra Fiord crosses Chilean Patagonia, between the granite towers of Torres del Paine and the icy fjords at the end of the world. The Patagonian International Marathon follows the same southern landscapes, in a shorter, more accessible format. The Jungle Ultra runs through the Peruvian Amazon from the Andean foothills to the densest rainforest on the continent. The high Andean peaks around Aconcagua complete this picture of extreme relief, between high-altitude glaciers and desert valleys, on mule tracks used since Inca times.

These lands, where even maps are scarce, gain particular value once turned into a topographic poster: a tangible keepsake of a territory few of your friends could place on a globe.
