Reading the route
The race starts from Liseth Pensjonat & Hyttetun, near Vøringsfossen, in Eidfjord, 717 m above sea level. The route passes Torkjelshøgda at km 13.7, 1,097 m. The longest climb of the course then begins at km 15.5: 610 m of gain up to the high point at km 29.4, 1,491 m, passing Lureggane at km 21, 1,276 m.
The route then passes Finsevatnet at km 37.3, 1,228 m, and goes on to Krækkja at km 63, 1,163 m. It goes through Kjeldedalen at km 70.4, 1,158 m, then Storaberget at km 81.7, 1,176 m.
The loop closes at Liseth Pensjonat & Hyttetun, in Eidfjord, at km 94, 719 m. Across mountain trails of the DNT network, the surroundings of the Hardangerjøkulen glacier, scree, rocky high-altitude ground, a high mountain plateau with lakes, and valleys, the course has 3,322 m of climbing and 3,320 m of descent.
