The race, held in a frame
Un dossard trempé fini au lavage n'a jamais rendu justice au Cirque du Fer à Cheval. Sur l'affiche, le trait suit tes single-tracks et tes pierriers, tracé au stylo ligne par ligne par notre pen plotter, jusqu'au bord du lac aux Dames.

Materials & craft
What makes a print last through the years.
Selected art paper
Cream Bristol 250 g/m² for the A3, Canson Mi-Teintes 160 g/m² laid for the A2. Absorbent grain, fibre direction chosen so it won't ripple under the pen.
Fine pens
Sakura Micron, Pilot G-2, Rotring — 0.2 to 0.5 mm nibs. Smudge-free inks, laid down by contact like a pencil stroke.
0.01 mm precision
Pen plotter controlled to the hundredth of a millimetre. Every line is drawn, not printed. The result is visible to the eye and to the touch.
Handwritten signature
Every print carries its series, its number and a graphite-pencil signature on the back. Copy number 1 of a given race exists only once.
